A New Era for McCaw Park
Exciting news for the East Side community: McCaw Park is moving into phase two of its renovations! It feels like just yesterday the park completed its previous updates, but the city has big plans for this beloved local spot. This next phase is a significant undertaking, with a $2.8 million project helmed by J.R. Kelly Construction.
What’s in Store?
One of the most notable changes will be the transformation of the park’s pickleball facilities. The existing 12 pickleball courts are set to be demolished and replaced with an impressive 26 new courts. Pickleball’s popularity has soared in recent years, and this expansion caters to the growing demand. For pickleball enthusiasts, Mall Park is about to become the ultimate destination!
Project Timeline
The project is slated to start this Thursday. If you’re keen on enjoying the current courts, now’s the time to visit before the renovations begin. The construction aims for substantial completion by the end of the year, with final touches, including landscaping and seating, expected to be finished by next spring.
