TAF Announces Fall 2024 Classes
The Arts Federation (TAF) is offering an impressive lineup of free after-school arts programs for the upcoming school year. These classes provide excellent enrichment opportunities for students in the Lafayette area and surrounding counties[1][5].
TAF’s After School Arts Program covers a wide range of creative disciplines, aiming to make a meaningful difference in the lives of local youth. The program reinforces academics, improves self-esteem, and inspires creativity.
Here’s a rundown of the exciting classes being offered:
- Beginning and Intermediate Ukulele: For grades 3-12, held on Wednesdays from September to mid-November
- Beginner Guitar: Thursdays from 4:30 to 5:30 PM
- Moving and Grooving Dance Class: For kindergarten through 2nd grade
- Multimedia Arts: For kindergarten through 4th grade, Tuesdays from 5:00 to 6:00 PM
- 2D Art: Mondays
- 3D Art: Thursdays
- Cooking: Tuesdays and Thursdays
All classes are completely free and will be held at The Arts Federation, located at 638 North Street in Downtown Lafayette[1][4]. It’s important to note that registration is on a first-come, first-served basis, and classes tend to fill up quickly.
These programs offer a fantastic opportunity for students to explore various art forms without the financial burden often associated with such classes. Similar programs elsewhere can cost $150-$200 or more, making TAF’s free offerings particularly valuable.

Whether you’re looking for after-school care, enrichment activities, or a chance to explore the arts, TAF’s After School Arts Program is an excellent resource for families in the Lafayette area and the 14 counties served by the organization.
